Volume 4, Issue #2 - April/May 2008
This cover has been in the making for quite some time. Over the years we've watched our young contributing columnist "Dirty Kurty McGurty" blow through the GNCC Pro-Am ranks dating back to his first appearance in print back in 2005 with a trackside interview titled "Pro-Am Prodigy" in Volume 1, Issue #3 when he was only 17. The high school senior came from the second row Pro-Am class at Round 7 in Millfield, OH blazing through the pack of pro riders all the way into 2nd place overall behind only Bill Ballance. McGill shared the podium with his lifetime idols just hours before leaving Ohio to attend his senior prom in West Union, West Virginia. Good job Adam, you've come a long way since your first appearance in ATV Insider, and finally got your cover we promised for winning your first Pro race. McGill wasn't satisfied with just one pro win, he decided to win three races in a row... really making it stick! So, inside this book you'll find a feature interview with McGill named "The New Sensation" on page 47. In this issue you will get an inside look at the factory Rockstar Suzuki MX team operations and we've also featured in-depth profiles of the 2008 top 15 WORCS pro riders. AMA Pro ATV MX action kicks off with action from Glen Helen, Mill Creek and Ballance Moto-X. GNCC Racing gets started too with Chris Borich winning Round 1 in Florida and Adam McGill dominating Rounds 2, 3 and 4. Definitely buy this issue... because Kurt says so!

Volume 4, Issue #1 - February/March 2008
Entering the 2008 GNCC Series the theme has come to be "a year of change." With all the hype in the GNCC pits with KTM and Can-Am joining the series with their factory racing programs, and many pro riders picking up factory support, Chris Borich's switch to Suzuki for 2008 was no different than many other pro riders who have also undergone total makeovers to their racing program for the new year. Chris Borich quickly adapted over the winter to his new Quadracer LT-R 450 and showed his conditioning and testing has paid off with a huge Round 1 victory for the 2003, 2005, 2006 & 2007 runner-up. With Bill Ballance announcing that he will be racing only for "fun" (yea... right) this year, it's Borich's time to drop the hammer and take home the 2008 Pro GNCC title he's been dreaming of for the past 6 seasons. Also not only did Borich snag the cover this issue, he also scored a feature story titled "Days of Thunder" about his family's sprint car racing heritage. Also GNCC fans, be sure to read the Brandon Sommers "Rising Star" feature. Does this Ohio native have what is takes to be the next big thing? We think so! WORCS Round 1 in Surprise, AZ was one of the muddiest races in the history of the sport, no doubt. Mike Gingles tells the tale. We take a look back at what could possibly be the best rookie season ever! Pennsylvania native Chuck DeLullo's rookie 1988 GNCC Championship season was a phenomenal accomplishment. This issue is rad.

Volume 3, Issue #6 - December 2007
Josh Frederick may have started the year on a different machine, but he finished 2007 aboard his new Can-Am DS450, putting BRP on top on the west coast. While suffering some electrical troubles on the new machine early on, the Nevada native pushed hard to keep his points lead and secure his first career WORCS Championship in 2007. Suzuki makes over 100 changes to the ever popular LT-R450 for 2008. Here at ATV Insider, we wanted to test the new and improved '08 QuadRacer against the '07 model, and report to you our findings. If you’re thinking about purchasing a LT-R for your next race bike, be sure to read our shootout, you won’t be disappointed. Bill Ballance has dominated the GNCC Series for almost a decade, we feature a well-deserved tribute to the 8 time champ with a look back at Ballance’s career in the “8 Years of Pure Domination - A Champions’ Tale” special editorial feature. Also, west coast motocross and the ITP QuadCross Series comes to a close as Kory Ellis in his final year racing earns another Championship beating out Dustin Nelson and Jeremy Schell for the “Best in the West” title. The GNCC season wraps up in central Indiana as Bill Ballance again shows his true grit, going out on top at the Round 13 Ironman event. We interview 2007 Dirt Track Champion Harold “The Bee” Goodman about his first career Pro Championship, and his long racing career growing up on four wheels from the age of six, now 23 years later and still going strong.

Volume 3, Issue #5 - October/November 2007
Putting together a racing program for yourself and battling each weekend with the big factory boys can be a daunting task even for the most determined pro ATV racers, John Natalie entered the 2007 WPSA series as an underdog, overcame injury, and went home a champion. As the WPSA season came to a close, John Natalie was doing heavy battle with all three members of the Rockstar Suzuki Yoshimura team of Wimmer, Wienen and Gust. Coming into the final round at Field of Dreams MX, again surrounded by yellow bikes, Natalie fell to Chad Wienen but held onto his points lead capturing his first WPSA Championship aboard a privateer Rage ATV Cernic’s Honda 450R. Also in this issue, our Art Director and executive magazine layer-outer/lead caption writer Marc Barilla took a trip to Rhode Island with Adam McGill to ride the new KTM 450 and 525XC models and speak his mind. It’s a bitchin’ story, I must say. Don’t miss this issue folks, it’s super-duper sweet with AMA MX action from the closing rounds of 2007 as Joe Byrd soars to another championship celebration at Loretta Lynn’s. We’ve squeezed in the 1st Annual Steel City AMA Pro ATV Open where Yamaha’s Pat Brown duct taped his throttle wide open (not really) and made everyone look silly in the Delmont, PA mud (really). It was a huge victory for the boys in blue to say the least. We didn’t forget about the GNCC action, we know you love it... it’s in there! In WORCS action Josh Frederick makes his debut aboard the new Can-Am DS 450, and in ATVA Extreme Dirt Track racing Harold Goodman seals the deal winning his first career Pro championship! Whoot Whoot... go Bee! This might be our best issue yet!

Volume 3, Issue #4 - August/September 2007
When Honda’s Joe Byrd captured back-to-back National Championships in 2006-2007, we couldn’t ignore the fact that this year’s title was extra special, being that it was the inaugural year that “AMA Pro Racing” is now officially supporting the professional ATV motocross racers and recognizing them as licensed “Pros”. Byrd clinched the title over series rival Jeremy Lawson, aboard his DASA-powered, Axis-suspended, Kenda-tired Walsh Racecraft 450R. Harlen shot the cover photo; I figure I should mention that. Lawson didn’t roll over for the defending champ, old Jeremy put his foot down and fought quite a battle also holding off Yamaha’s Pat Brown who finished 3rd overall. National MX action from Ballance MX, High Point, Muddy Creek and Sunset Ridge... so there! Haha! This issue is so bangin’ because we reveal the new and improved 2008 Suzuki LT-R 450 QuadRacer, which we test at Doug Gust’s sweet house in Wisconsin. Also, the ever-so-popular GNCC series visits Sparta, KY and Snowshoe, WV for some hoopie-lovin’ woods action and beer drinkin’... but Bill Ballance kicked everyone’s butts, but don’t tell McGill that, he ALMOST won! Also, The ATVA Extreme Dirt Track season is missing some heavy hitters this year, but Harold Goodman or Shane Hitt won’t be complaining, trust me. Look for the “Dirt Track Delight” feature to fulfill your slick-track cravings until next issue. WPSA ATV Tour insanity as Team Rockstar Suzuki Yoshimura gets some great results with big wins at Cooperland and a “Big Weens” sweep in London. John Natalie bounces back with a super huge, season-changing double-victory at Rounds 6-7 at Virginia Motorsports Park in Petersburg. Peace, we out!

Volume 3, Issue #3 - June/July 2007
“Big” Chad Wienen lands his first ATV Insider cover! Whoot, whoot! I’m sure it won’t be his last. We’ve also featured a story about the newest factory Suzuki pilot appropriately titled “Rookie to Rock Star” about Wienen’s rise to fame from a privateer rookie pro rider just one year ago. We test ride the 2008 DS 450 in this issue at I-81 MX in eastern Tennessee, and had a ball doing it with ATVI contributor and test rider Adam McGill. Check out the all-new 2008 Yamaha Raptor 250, we interviewed test rider Dustin Nelson about his feelings on the new blue thumper. GNCC action includes Big Buck, Lorettas and John Penton. Also, check out our special feature by Mark Elliot “Tennessee Trees” where WORCS racer Robert Kramer heads east to race his first GNCC. WPSA season kicks off at Silver Dollar in Georgia and heads to Taylorville, IL for Round 2. AMA Pro ATV action from Round 4 at Echeconnee MX near Macon, GA and Shane Hartman’s reports from Round 5 at Birch Creek MX in Virginia. West coast WORCS action where Doug Eichner takes a first Pro win for Polaris aboard the IRS Outlaw 525 over rival Josh Frederick who dominates the WORCS points lead, plus ITP QuadCross action too! Enjoy!!

Volume 3, Issue #2 - April/May 2007
We were feeling a little green after our trip to South Carolina to ride the all new Kawasaki KFX 450R at Carolina Adventure World. We had so much fun that we just had to put big Yoke-daddy on the cover! Besides Bill Ballance, Chris Borich and Chris Bithell, Yokley is only the 4th GNCC pro to grace the ATV Insider front cover. What a killer action shot taken by Kinney Jones as William blasted out of a Carolina creek! Mr. Schloss’ column “The Insider” is about Jeff Cernic’s new Suzuki-sponsored regional ATV MX series, check it out. We busted out a Taylor Kiser “Trackside” interview, who is quite possibly the biggest surprise of ‘07 as a GNCC rookie running in the top 5. The GNCC season kicks off with a Ballance win at a new location in Florida, still rough as ever. Jeremy Lawson catches everybody off-guard with a huge National MX victory at Round 1 in Pell City, Alabama. Ryan Morphew’s GNCC race bike is featured, along with ITP’s new QuadCross MX soft compound tire, and Baldwin Motosports’ new exhaust system. Don’t miss out on the west coast WORCS and QuadCross race coverage too along the way!

Well we’ve climbed that hill, we’ve jumped that big triple, we’ve
pulled the holeshot people! Whew! It’s taken two years and we’re
officially no longer a “newspaper”, not that we ever considered
ourselves a newspaper to begin with… but we’ve finally made the big
leap of faith into the magazine world. This issue marks the beginning
of a new era here at ATV Insider and we be lovin’ it. New recruit to
the factory Suzuki squad, Dustin Wimmer is our chosen cover-boy and

Engineering facility, a special “2006 ATVA Athlete of the Year” Tim
Farr interview feature, a GNCC pro rookie Ryan Morphew “Trackside”

Well, well, well... it's been a long
time coming. This is our last issue folks! Sorry. I'm joking, settle
down. This is actually our last issue in our OLD newsprint tabloid

keepsake. We did two years (2005-2006) on the newsprint but it's time
for an upgrade which we are very proud to announce. This final 2006

He’s the Honda/Sparks Racing/ Lonestar #12 pilot who was quickly
picking up steam entering ATVA MX Round 9 at Steel City Raceway in
Delmont, PA. “Chicken” is NO chicken! This southern gent went 2-2 in
Western Pennsylvania just two weeks after his wedding winning the

kid who is quickly making a name for himself as a top Pro in the GNCC

keep up the hard work! We also interviewed motocross ace Joe Haavisto,

GNCC's six-time ATV champion Bill Ballance
overcame the odds in 2005 while battling minor injury early on and
suffering a severely broken lower leg shortly after Round 9. Ballance

two plates and eleven screws, Bill was able to preserve his points lead
over rival Chris Borich with a second place finish behind Bryan Cook.

Volume 1,
Issue #1 - February 2005
This one might just be a collector's
item some day, we'd like to think so anyway. You guessed it, our very
first issue! We spent some time deciding on the cover for this sucker,
and old J.J was the lucky candidate for issue one. With Jeremiah's past
success and his recent move to the "factory" Yoshimura Suzuki team we
summoned photo hound Roy Bloodworth of bigkidracing.com in California
to shoot Mr. Jones at a practice session on his new bike. Inside you
can read about the return of Travis Spader and the Four-Stroke Tech
2005 GNCC team. Also we've included awesome full page "Pulse" photos of
the 2004 overall champions and Trackside interviews with Mike Walsh,
Doug Morris and Polaris' factory GNCC rider Matt Smiley.
